I think the time has come to ease my diet a bit. Not too much. I still think it is important. But at the same time a love of life is very important too. I have lost so many things I loved it is very hard to keep denying a thing I enjoyed so much. I can sacrifice forever if there are results, but sadly, in the face of limited impact I am only human.
Now I’m not about to go crazy here. I’m thinking a little but of organic, ingredient appropriate cheese a couple of times a week. Maybe a few more sweet things made by us with the appropriate things in them. Probably some more fruit. Ease up restrictions on salt a touch and allow some cooking with oils in order to get some real indian dishes going.
I will probably not go back to meat. I am just too against it now. I dont agree with the dairy industry either but it is a lesser evil and I am prepared to forgive myself.

I think this sounds like a wonderful thing for you to do for yourself, Jerome, and that’s not just because of my own indefatigable dessert-tooth π Taste and the ability to share love through food are powerful conduits for true pleasure and joy, and so some delicious cheese and homemade goodies every now and again sounds like something you deserve, completely π xo
